Flora London Marathon 2007So the FLM ballot has closed, some members were lucky, some had places based on good times in earlier marathons ('good for age') others had to wait for the AGM - and then two more were lucky. In the end nine runners survived the training and made it down to London. Some supporters from the club made the journey too. Race day was a VERY hot and this made for difficult running for all. However everyone acquitted themselves brilliantly and all were satisfied with their times, given the conditions. Full results are here . Monday morning saw some of the squad taking a stroll in Covent Garden, where they spotted the winner of the ladies's race. She happily agreed to have her photo taken with the squad. |
